The common interface standards of RF coaxial connector are mil-std-348, iec61169 series, Cecc22000 series. These standards have made a systematic and comprehensive definition of the interface of RF coaxial connector, and they also fully reflect one of the principles of standard formulation: unless necessary standards should not limit the flexibility of design. In order to ensure the interface compatibility, these coaxial connector standards do not need to specify each matching size of the interface in detail, such as the matching size of the connection between male and female connectors, Unless necessary, these standards try to keep the design flexibility for RF coaxial connector designers, for example, the outer diameter of inner conductor and the inner diameter of outer conductor define only one size; otherwise, as long as the fit is not affected, the size generally does not define only electrical performance, For example, the material of inner conductor is not specified, and the slotting size only requires electrical performance; 7 / 16 of inner conductor and outer conductor can be slotted or not slotted; the standard also fully considers the processing technology of the product, such as BNC male connector sleeve, which can be slotted into a long round groove (required for chip processing) or a square groove
      There are also some inconsistencies in these standards, such as the position of SMA female insulator and inner conductor relative to the reference, the requirements of mil-std-348 and iec61169 are different: 348 does not allow the insulator to be higher than the reference plane, while the requirements of IEC are not higher than the reference plane by 0.05, 348 requires that the position range of the inner conductor relative to the reference is 0-0.25, while the requirement of IEC is 0-0.4. The mainstream coaxial connector series are not many (compared with other types of connectors), and the long service life (such as N, SMA head has decades of History) is prosperous, which is very rare in the consumer electronics connector, almost impossible
